Hi Mike,
2008 R2 the default Windows driver is the correct driver to use. With everything else being up to date you can just update the firmware. The firmware update can be found here. ftp.us.dell.com/.../RAID_FRMW_WIN_R189337.EXE

Once I update this driver, I would need to reboot the server for this to take effect?
Is there anything else I would need to do?

After updating the firmware yes you would need to reboot, that should be all you have to do.
