Some details needed

What games do you plan to host?

How many games per server?

How many players per server

What is your Inet bandwidth going to the servers?

basically with most gaming servers more core + more ram = more games that can run

when you start running multiple game's on one server you need a fast I/O system (harddrives)

do you plan to let people download maps / updates, or will those be on a diff server......

Well as told by others its best to use it for 1 thing alone. But depending on how much its going to be used I can use it for 2 services.

Current plans for the server is, SHOUTcast Hosting & GameServer. (To start off, problerly 2 or 3 games)

I have about 6 SHOUTcast customers so far and well the GameServer I hope to eventually build up on but I do think that I can run both services on this server untill it starts getting bigger.

Here is the link to the server details on the one im looking at getting. (Im going to LEASE it 1st then maybe buy depending on its performance)

I wasent to happy when I saw it doesnt come with a OS. However I guess I will have to fork out a little more and get one.

Bandwidth I am still going to sort out soon. Need to find a good data center to host it in. (Any reccomendations?)
