Hard drive
Hi Sam,
I have T420. The existing hard drive is Dell 600GB, 15k rpm, Nlsas, 6Gbps, 512n, 3.5in, huo-plug. Can you please tell tell what "Dell part number and Manufacturer number" can fit my machine, such as KDNVK,400-alob, 400-alny?
Someone advises me to upgrade to "Dell 1TB 7.2k Rpm Nlsas 12gbps 512n 3.5in Hot-plug Hard Drive Cuskit". Should I take it regardless of "Dell part number and Manufacturer number"?

Haolle,
I am not showing that drive compatible with the T420, to get close to the specs you listed you would need part 400-AMTN (FVX7C) or 400-ALQT (7RCGV). . Both of which are 2TB NLSAS 12gbps 7.2k drives.
