How can I document a Server?

Dear Techies,

I support 4 Dell PE Servers,
-PE2600
-PE2500
-PE1400SC
-PE1600

is there any tool which can gather all local Information such as
-Dell specific FW, bios versions ( Video, RAID, RAC, SCSI, HD, Tape, NIC ....)
-Dell specific HW drivers (Chipset, Video, RAID, RAC, NIC, DL....)

and compare this information with a local or Internet data base. These data bases will include current versions and descriptions of related and necessary Dell specific HW drivers, FW and Bios updates.

This tool should also be able to update the outdated data (Drivers, Bios, FW,..)

I know of such a tool from compaq - "ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft Windows 2000"
(see http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23836.html)

I have Dell DSET on my 1650 it works great, you run the program and it builds an html page with all the info on the system. May have to poke around on the site to find it, a tech put a link for it in an e-mail to me but I can't seem to find it.

You can find the latest version of DSET at

I think you'll find this is the closest you'll get to the ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft Windows 2000.
