How to replace & setup failed PE4300 RAID hard drive

One of the 4 HDs on my PE4300 RAID is failed. I have a new replacement ready. I like to know the steps on how to configure the new HD to replace the failed one. My PE4300 is running Win2k server sp3 & SQL server 2000.

Thanks,

James

Honestly, the best thing to do with failed raids is to speak with one of their techs so they have walk you through it... Great thing is that they are 24/hr.

If you had a Raid 5/1/10 it would rebuild automatically depending on Controller/settings.

If not you should be able to start a rebuild from Array manager also
