iDRAC 7 on R420 does not display health status
We have an R420 that we just recently installed an iDRAC 7 Enterprise license.
The hardware section is displaying "System Alert" errors for the Fans (RAC0709) "Unable to retrieve the fan information. Power on the server. If the server is already powered on, wait for a few minutes and refresh the page. If the problem persists, contact your service provider." and CPU (RAC0505) "There are no devices to be displayed. 1. Check if the host system is ON. 2. Check if the Storage Enclosure is ON. 3. Verify that the adapter cables are properly connected and there are no bent pins."
The fans and CPU appear to be operational as the server is up and running and working as expected but we did have a kernel panic crash report recently and it is concerning that the CPU is not being detected by iDRAC.
Furthermore, the individual memory details and power supply elements are not displayed but there is not a system alert on those pages....

Hello AsweisNSBSL,
Could you drain the flea power and check results after?
(shut down, disconnect power cables and Network cables, hold in power button 20 seconds with cords removed). After flea power drain, system has to set for 3 minutes for DRAC to reset without any power plugged in, then plug in NIC and power but wait 2 minutes before power on to give DRAC time to initialize.
Next try these steps:
Clear browser cache
Try a Different browser
If those don’t help, try reset iDRAC and reconfigure:
Boot to F2 > iDRAC Settings > Reset iDRAC configurations to defaults
Save, Exit,
Reboot to F2 > iDRAC Settings > Network: Configure IP, Subnet and Gateway.
What BIOS and iDRAC firmware are you on? If you are very far behind you may need to step it up.
Current firmware is: iDRAC v.2.65.65.65

Hello Charles,
Thank you very much for your reply! It is greatly appreciated sir.
We will attempt the hard reset to drain the flea power and respond back with the results. I believe we have already tried multiple computers and browsers with the same results but I will try again.
We are currently out of date on the firmware and BIOS and we were planning on updating those as a last resort.
We are currently on BIOS version 2.4.2 and iDRAC with Life Cycle Controller Firmware 2.21.21.21.
Thank you.
