Thabet33,

Would you clarify the specific errors you are seeing, as well as if you are trying to login with the default credentials or custom ones?
Also, when you are trying to login, what error do you receive there?

Lastly, the error code you provided is regarding a memory issue with the server, but should also include the dimm number that is causing it, what you could try is shutting down the server and then try swapping that dimm with another in the server to see if that error follows the dimm or stays at the slot.

Let me know what you see.

Try powering down the system, remove the power cords, then hold the power button down for 20 seconds to drain the flea power. Once done then open the cover and locate the NVRAM_CLR jumper on the motherboard, as seen as #26 on page 150 here. Once located then move the jumper over, then reinstall the power cords and power up the server and complete the NVram clear. Once completed the power back down, remove cables, drain the flea power again, then restore the jumper to its original location, then close the cover and reinstall the power cables, but do NOT power the server on, wait about 2-4 minutes then power up the server, that allows the iDrac time to initialize.  Then see if it allows you to access the iDrac, if so then you can use the Rollback and update tab in the idrac to update the BIOS and iDrac.

Let me know how it goes.

It can be, as the IDSDM is an optional part.

With the iDrac disabled message you are seeing, if you boot to F2 -> System Setup -> iDRAC Settings -> Lifecycle Controller, would you verify that Lifecycle Controller is set to Enabled, as well as Collect System Inventory on Restart set to Enabled, and Cancel Lifecycle Controller Actions set to Yes.

If that fails to clear the iDrac is disabled then try running the RACADM RACRESET command to restart the iDrac. If it still doesn't work then you may want to consider a hard reset of the idrac witht he RACADM RACRESETCFG command to see if that resolves it.

On a side note, did anything change or occur with the server before this started happening, such as updates, power outage, etc?

Hi, sorry to hear that. If the other troubleshooting steps are not working then that Mobo might be the faulty part. As I know iDRAC is embedded on mobo. I believe you already did many steps already but please check you tried all the steps in here ‎SWC0700: iDRAC is not ready. The configuration values cannot be accessed. | DELL Technologies

Hello could we try this now?

Minimum to POST for the R740:

  • One processor (CPU) in socket processor 1
  • One memory module (DIMM) in socket A1
  • One power supply unit
  • Right control panel and cable (for power button functionality)
  • System board
