iDRAC Web Management Broken
I have a Dell R710 running Server 2012 R2. The iDRAC web portal is currently displaying the following:
The firmware is currently at1.96. I've attempted an racreset, but received the following error:
"ERROR: A firmware update is currently in progress. Unable to reset the RAC at this time."
I've restarted the server quite a few times as a result of this error with no success. As thought I attempted to replace the firmware with the same version again, but the executable crashes with a generic: "bmcfwuw.exe has stopped working" even after a reboot.
What are my next steps? This server is remote so physical access is difficult at best.

Hi,
I got the same problem on my servers.
Two thing to verify. Are you using Java version 7 on the computer to access the web page ? Try to use Java V6, from a different PC or server.
Try to use Chrome instead of Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Add an Exception in Java in the Control Panel.

Try this command first: racadm -r ip address -u user -p password jobqueue delete -i JID_CLEARALL_FORCE, this would clear the Job Queue.
If this command doesn't work, the iDRAC looks to need to have the flea power drained. The reason it’s undefined, and not showing anything is because the firmware installation is locked up. This would require a physical presence at the server to power it off and drain all the power off by pulling the cord(s).

For repair error with bmcfwuw.exe you must disable DEP for this file or for all system.

For normal use web access to iDRAC you need add iDRAC address to compatibility view mode.
Error with bmcfwuw.exe is a different error.
