initializing firmware interfaces
hi,
I restarted Dell PowerEdge M620 machine and not it is not coming up. when I saw using iDRAC remote console.
it is showing "initializing firmware interfaces" and it stuck there. I waited for more then 10 hours but it doesn't boot.
I tried to go to F10 life cycle controller to disable inventory check. but this message is coming before it enters to life cycle controller.
even I cannot go to bios also. this message appears first after initial boot messages.
how I can disable inventory check by going to lifecycle controller settings. remember I cannot go Operating system I cannot boot.
is there any option in the iDRAC remote console?
In pdf It is written I can go to USC (unified server configurator) or ws-man to modify it.
what is WS-MAN from where I can download it. can I install in on my laptop (since server is not booting to OS)
and usc requires OS. right?
please suggest
if you can provide link to download ws-man or USC better.
thank you in advance

Hello MR.parkar
It is having issues initializing the LCC. You need to run the repair package for it. Log into the iDRAC and go the the Update and Rollback section. Download the .usc file and use that update interface to update it.
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/Product/poweredge-m620?driverId=T3YKC&osCode=WS8R2&fileId=3214207687&languageCode=en&categoryId=SV
Thanks

hi,
thank you very much for reply. as I am new in dell systems.
can you please tell me more specific option to select. I mean I click on server overview in enclosure CMC. I click on update in the top.
then it will give me various options to upgrade
RAID Controller
if I select life cycle controller then it is asking for DUP package (exe).
or shall click blade 4 in the left and go to IDRAC settings for that blade. and select iDRAC firmware update. my current firmware for iDRAC is 1.20.20. if I click on rollback it is the same it can rollback to.
there is no life cycle controller update under iDRAC for that particular blade.
thanks once again

Yes, update it through the iDRAC interface instead of the CMC. You will use the iDRAC firmware update to update the LCC. I think you can also do it through the CMC using the same method as a DUP, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
