Intel NICs show different options, and missing some, after driver update?

Hi,

I ran the Dell updates on an R430 and it found some updated NIC drivers for our Intel X520 10Gig cards.  With these new drivers, things look completely different after clicking on the Configure button in the NIC properties.  Does anyone know if this is normal and just something new?

Some of the obvious changes are:

  • The Power Management tab is missing.
  • Link Speed has its own tab instead of being under Advanced (and it's grayed out for me)
  • Flow Control is no longer in the list under the Advanced tab
  • There's a Data Center tab and a Boot Options tab I've never seen before

Thanks.

I didn't use any link.  I used the SUU ISO created via Repository Manager.  It scans the server and decides what needs to be installed.

So PM's let me put in pictures but then don't actually send them?  Or at least they don't show them in the Sent area?  *sigh*

Thank you for the email. I was unable to view the pictures in the POST.

It looks like Intel has made additions to the properties and moved things around as well. I have been looking on the Intel site to see if I can find an explanation of the changes made, but haven't so far.
