Invalid file type when updating iDrac 9's firmware VMWare ESXi 7 OS with .bin file
I am trying to update iDrac 9's firmware with VMWare ESXi OS (linux) so I searched for the appropriate file:
Poweredge R440

But when I try to upload the file, it says invalid file

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

You need the Windows *.exe when upgrading trough iDRAC and not the .bin.

@Origin3k Hi! Thank you very much for your reply. I have downloaded the file and it was uploaded. However, the last update failes
I tried rebooting the server and reuploading the file but I keep getting the error. Do you have any idea why that is?

Hmmm....... delete(clear) the job queue. You can "reset"(reboot) the iDRAC ... its somewhere under trouble shooting and than try the iDRAC update again.
Questions... what is the current version of your iDRAC? You cant jump from 4.x to 7.x directly.
