is it faulty PERC controller or backplane?
Dell PE2950, doing health checks & found these errors in open manage (please see below). What has failed in this instance? is it PERC controller or backplane? Or both?
On a side note, is there a way I can perform centralized health checks from one server which is accessible to all other Dell servers.

From what you posted here, there is no reason to believe that either the controller or the backplane are bad.
The battery is probably bad.
From the VD screen at the top, it appears as though one of your RAID 1 (VD1) disks have failed. Click on Virtual Disk 1 ... which disks are listed and what are their statuses?

As for your "sidenote" ... you can install OpenManage Essentials (OME) on another server to manage all servers in your organization.

Yes. "Unsupported" is an odd message, but considering it is the same model and revision as disk 3, "unsupported" would be an inaccurate description and just a manifestation of a bad drive.

Thanks flash, so battery for sure & physical disk 0:0:2 has failed. Am I correct? Thanks for link to OME.
