Looking for a server

Hi all

I would like to have a technical advice for a PowerEdge Server.

I am looking for a PowerEdge server in order to virtualize a windows severs Park.

I have about 50 VMs to create and about 15 Tb to manage within the servers.

I all ready have a PowerVault SAN (3200i) and would like to use Microsoft Hyper-V as hypervisor

Regards

Hello

Almost all of our servers should be able to meet those requirements. The only requirement you have that could be an issue is the number of VMs and available CPU. With that many VMs you may need a dual or quad CPU system, depending on how much CPU each VM needs. 15TB storage should be easily achievable in most of our servers, and if memory requirements for the VMs are not very high then memory should not be an issue.

You should find out if you need tower or rack. The model numbers of our servers designate capabilities. The first letter in the model is Tower or Rack, the first digit designates the performance or potential configuration. It is a 1-9 system and certain thresholds determine CPU. I think 1-3 are single CPU, 4-7 dual, and 8,9 are quad. You will want to choose the system that has the configuration options that you need. As you go up they support more CPU and memory.

Thanks
