Memory upgrade for poweredge R910

Hi Support 

I have one host model PowerEdge R910 with CPU 16 CPUs x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7520 @ 1.87GHz 

VMware is 6.0.0 Update 3 (Build 7967664) 

now we are using memory 4 GB * 64 slot part# is “M393B5273CH0-CH9” 

we plan to upgrade to 8 GB * 64 part# isM393B1K70CH0-CH9 

just I need your confirmation if this part is compatible with our host server, to start upgrading.

  • Max Size: 2TB DDR3
  • Max Speed: 1066MT/s (1333MT/s will clock down)
  • DIMMs Supported: 2GB 4GB 8GB 16GB 32GB

Hello My friend,

 

yes, the part you are installing is compatible if you are mixing both memories then be careful with the banking and also see the same speed memories are in same bank.

Im going to change all part to new one part# M393B1K70CH0-CH9  not mixing the server capacity is 64 slot, if i change all of it its working without any problem? please confirm
