need help Power Edge 2850

Question

Let me start off with saying I'm a computer hack. However I want to learn. I have a long background in Telecommunications, Networking, but never servers and applications.   I aquired a dell 2850 Power edge that my company used for a special application. It was only a year old when they changed their platform to HP. They said i could have it once the data was converted over to the new server. I took it apart, juggled and added hard drives, formatted them, plugged in some extra memory. Now it is a total mess and i can not get it to do anything.   How can I systematicly go through this and get it so i can put on a OS. I've played with it for hours/days and sure i only made it worst. I have :   6 - Hard drives 1 - DVD 1 - Diskett   I'm patient and will be willing to follow some ones direction to get this on board.   Thanks in advance. :smileyhappy:

I did find out that I need to use ISO recorder to burn to CD. Will do that this evening.   Guitarbike1

Are you needing to get an OS installed, or will it not even POST? If its just loading an OS, then use Dell CD ISO - Installation and Server Management.

If its not POSTing, then more information on what is happening, any errors, etc would be helpful.
