Hallo
I have SC1600. I unplugged power cable opened the box removed DVD player and placed it back. But when i started the box up again it cameup with:
1. Press CRT + A to start LSI Logic Config Util... if i ignore this it goes to 2.
2. Scanning for device at HBA 0; IDE ; LUN 0... then it goes to 3.
3. LSI Logic Corp. MPT Boot Rom; No supported Device Found...

Beyond this point the server does nothing and all I can do is to reset the Server

I have no Idea what to do could anyone help.

Firstly is it a new server and secondly was it working?
What configuration do you have e.g. what is the service tag.?

You may have dislodged the SCSI cable to the drives. Reverse what you did and see if the server
gets back to the state it was prior to the change

This server is now +- 1 year old and was working just fine.
I have opened the case and removed the DVD player, opened it and cleaned it,
Then Placed it back and restarted.
I made sure all cables are just as they were and did not change the jumper settings.

I do not have my service tag with me at this stage but I have a 80Gb HHD, CD rom, DVD RW, 512Mb ram the to optical drives are on the secondary IDE and the HDD is allone on the first IDE. I have XP Pro SP2 on the server. I have IDE not SCSI

I can not realy reverse what I have done as i Just unplug power from server and cleaned it and the DVD RW. I did try remove the DVD RW from the IDE but no change.

From the looks of this 'd say the boot device has cahnged to the SCSI device of which you don't have one.
Go into the BIOS and check that the boot device is set for your \ide drive.
