OMSA asks for credentials on Local machine
Why does OMSA ask for credentials when running on a local machine sometimes? And then the credentials may or may not work, even for admin?...(Running 7.3 and 7.4 on various 2008R2 machines)
Thx,
JB

If yourservernameoraddress:1311 is added to IE's Intranet Zone, it will not prompt for a login and will simply use the users credentials (unless the Intranet Zone settings have been altered manually or through group policy). A user in the local Administrators group (including, by default, Domain Admins) should be able to log into OMSA with their credentials (but the Active Directory box should remain unchecked).

Thx Flash.
I often find after a reboot that OMSA will work OK without the logon prompt.
But your tip is a good one!!

Don't forget to check Server Manager --> Local Server --> IE Enhanced Security Configuration. Both Administrators and Users should be set to "Off".
Once they're turned off, try OMSA again.
