Operating System Not Found
We have a Dell VRTX chasis with a Power Edge M620 Blade Server. The OS installed is VMware ESXI 5.1.0.
All of a sudden I could not access the VMs and my analysis showed that the OS was not being detected. So I changed the boot options and it worked.
I spoke to Enterprise Technical Support for the RCA and proved to be useless
I am just wondering how the boot options can change all by itself. What triggers the change?

Zenas.Makka,
The only things I have seen cause this is normally if something higher in the boot order is enabled, or the boot drive wasn't accessible and it went on to the next thing in the order. Did you happen to run a BIOS update or any other updates on the server, as the BIOS update may have defaulted a device Enabled, which took a higher priority in the boot order.
Let me know if any of these look plausable to any prior actions taken with the server before this happened? Such as updates and such, or configuration changes.

Thanks Chris. I will review the change and see if BIOS update was indeed the cause
