Joe Kanan,

The issue with the CPU usgae can be from a large veriety of reasons and causes. What I would suggest we start with is seeing if we can eliminate the OS as an issue. We can do this by booting to this OMSA Live ISO. If the CPU doesn't climb under this then the issue is likely with a service or driver running in the OS.

Let me know what you see.

I would go to Bios and set the system profile to Performance (Optimized).

Dear Admin,

I just enter the bios and I can't find the system profile , I Only find 2 choice Memory and Processor. At the memory already on optimized mode, but on the processor I can't find it. It's only show some option like 64-bit, core speed, Bus Speed, Logical Processor, Virtualization Technology, and etc..

Please help..

Thanks

AH my bad, this is a R710 not a R720. To maximize processor performance on the R710 , go into system bios , Processor, and disable both C1E and Cstates. This will prevent the system from turning off processor cores when not in use. It has been my experience that the cores may not get turned back on when needed. Just a note, this will likely lead to more power consumption. Make sure to update the Bios, as it contains the microcode updates for the processor.
