PE 6650 - Memory Errors - CPU Bus Parity Error Detected

Question

Picked up two 6650s today (5ZKYK11, 29995L11). Upgraded all firmware and BIOS to latest release. Ran diag and found the following: A) MPMEMORY stopped less than 1 minute citing overflown errors logs. MEMTEST86 also found errors. Same results on both servers. Is the memory toast? The memory board and DIMMs were reseated. B) Error Code 2900:0221 - POST sensor (0x0B) CPU Bus Parity Error Detected. This seems to be a common problem with many Dell servers, but couldn't find a solution except to update BIOS, ESM, etc. What is this error and how can it be fixed? Any ideas?

Have you drained flea power on the server? Turn off the server. Remove the AC power cords from the back of the server. Press the power button for 5 seconds to relieve flea power.  NOTE:  Wait 30 seconds before returning the power cords to the server. Re-attach the AC power cords. Turn on the server.

I am having the same error here on all of my PE 6650s, these were purchased 6 months ago and am at bios level A15, going to bump to A17 and see.....

The response from Tariq Syed only tells us how to get the machine back up and running. How about any ideas on how to solve this problem? Switch to compaq/HP????

This seems to be a huge problem with dell servers for years (looking at previous threads as far back as 2002)

Any takers, any ideas on how to fix?
