PE1850 NIC Teaming

I have a PowerEdge 1850 server running 2003 OS and dual intel pro 1000mt network connection. I'm trying to setup a nic team (load balancing) but it won't work. Everytime I try to create a team, I go through the process just fine with no errors, I close the proset utility and go back in and the team is gone. i check device manager and the intel virtual adapter is disabled. Each time I try to create a team, the subsequent virtual adapter is disabled in device manager. I have the latest drivers and proset sw. I tried uninstall and reinstall of the proset sw, but that didn't work. any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

TIA

Joe

Do you have the physical nics set to DHCP and not set statically before you create the team or are they set to a static address prior to making the team.  Also, what kind of team are you creating?

They are statically set prior to teaming. I'm trying to create a load balancing team.

Have you tried setting the NICs to dynamic addresses then creating the team?
