PE6350 doesn't POST.
Hi.
I've got a problem with PowerEdge 6350 - it does power up and all the indicators on the front panel are green. Monitor remains in stand-by state. All 3 indicators on the keyboard lights up for a second but that's it. No beeping, nothing on the screen.
The power button indicator blinks, and there is a indicator on the motherboard that blinks also.

The PE6350 would power on but had no video output and no beeps at all. We saw three solid green indicators on front, three solid green indicators on power supplies, solid green indicator on main system board. No indication that there was a problem, other than the fact that we did not receive video output. We were able to confirm power supplies, fans, memory, and memory board worked fine by testing in another PE 6350.
NONE of the four processors would work in the other system. We tested individual CPUs. As far as we could tell, they were dead! Just an FYI, the working PE 6350 would boot with a single, dual, and quad CPU configuration. We tested each of the CPUs from the dead PE 6350 in a single CPU configuration on the working PE 6350. Same symptoms, no video output and no beeps.
When we went to swap system boards, I found that a loose screw was sitting on the system board. No idea where the screw came from, since these allow for screwless access and maintenance. Regardless, we assumed the system board was also ruined and did not try testing it. You may need to replace your system board AND your processors.
If possible, test your processors in another system before spending anything on a replacement system board.
