PERCCLI : Add UGood disk back RAID array
I have a Perc 730 Mini controller which I am using PERC CLI to manage... I have a 6 disk array configured as a RAID 6.
One of the disks in the array failed this morning... And, I put a new disk in and it is showing a UGood state... Which is great. Typically, in the past when a disk has failed and I put a new one in, it will automatically start rebuilding - this one is not, for whatever reason. Only difference is that this is an HGST disk of same size, versus a Dell disk.
My question is how do I add this new disk back into the virtual disk array? I tried initializing it, that did nothing - and I tried to run the rebuild command on it and that failed, indicating there is no disk in that slot but I do see it when I run the show command...
Do I have to add it into the disk group? It shows "-" under DG, where the others are all in DG "0"
Am I missing something?
Thanks!

Hello
If you a rebuild does not start automatically then set the disk as a hot spare. If it is still not pulled in then the disk is either not a valid member or is faulty.
