Power Supply Redundancy Lost

I have a PE2650 that is running the latest Bios, drivers, and firmware.  I received an alert:

Message: Redundancy lost \nRedundancy unit: System Power Unit \nChassis location: Main System Chassis \nPrevious redundancy state was: FULL \nNumber of devices required for full redundancy: 2

I check the power supplies and everything looks fine.  Why am I getting this alert and what does it mean?  Is the power supply going bad or is it a false alert that happen time to time.

Some things to try. Try swapping the power supplies. Make sure both power supplies are plugged into good power sources. There are indicator lights on the back of the power supplies, see if there are any amber lights. If the error code identifies a particular power supply number, see if it changes when you swap the supplies. If you have Dell Open Manage Server Administrator loaded, note the messages in the hardware logs.

John,

I check the battery indicator in the back and it is normal.  The power source is good because no other server is having this problem.  Could be a false sensor that was generate itself until some clear the logs?

If you are running Dell Open Manage Server Administrator, you can go into the hardware logs and clear the logs. Can also make sure that the ESM firmware is up-to-date.

Same thing happened to me.

It happened when I upgraded the RAC to Firmware Version 3.14 (Build 08.19)
I also lost all my sensors when doing this, so I can get any sensor read outs anymore. Any idea why this is?

I seemed to be able to get my sensors back by resetting the RAC. But when checking the powersupplies I get the following:

Reading  -  Device detected
Sensor Type - Power Supply
Max Failure Threshold - N/A
Max Warning Threshold - N/A
Min Warning Threshold - N/A
Min Failure Threshold - N/A
Status - Unknown

Is that normal or should it say something besides Unknown in Status?
