PowerEdge 1950 Processors
I have two PowerEdge 1950 Gen II servers that have both been updated to the 2.7.0 BIOS. From what I have read it only supports up to the Xeon 5300 series processors, however the 2.7.0 BIOS release notes state it added the Xeon 5400 microcode. With the latest BIOS is the 5300 series really the max or will 5400 series processors work in them?

The 1950 I, II, and III all use the same BIOS code. ONLY the 1950 III supports 5400-series processors with updated BIOS code.
