PowerEdge alert Correctable memory error logging disabled
Hello,
As the title mentioned, my server sends this Critical Alert :

The first one appeared on October 2, 2023, and then I tried to switch the RAM from DIMM_5 to DIMM_4
everything was fine, but then today November 27, I got another error with the same physical RAM :

full message error as follows:
-----
Event Message: Correctable memory error logging disabled for a memory device at location DIMM_A4.
Date/Time: Mon, 27 Nov 2023 16:11:41 +0700
Severity: Critical
Detailed Description: Errors are being corrected but no longer logged.
Recommended Action: Review system logs for memory exceptions. Re-install memory at location identified in the message.
Message ID: MEM8000
-----
My system is running normally so far, but I'm not really sure if this error will cause problems in the future.
What is this error about? Should I be worried? is there anything wrong with the RAM and should it be replaced?

Hello rofiq_s,
As we see the issue follow the DIMM then I would recommend to replace that DIMM at your earliest convenience.

@Dell -Charles R Hello,
thanks for the reply and heads-up.. I'm planning to replace the DIMM as soon as possible to be safe.
Is there any documentation regarding the ERROR/MESSAGE ID?
