PowerEdge History

Hi all,

Does someone have a list of all the PowerEdge server models Dell ever made?  I am curious of different models and when they came out.  Also curious of what PowerEdge models came with processors that support x64 bit computing.

Thanks,

Pete

List of PowerEdge Servers

For ones that support x64, I think there are some 8th generation systems that do and all the 9th gen and up do. There was two systems back in the day that had true x64 procs. Can't remember which two off the top of my head, but I think the PE 7150 was one of them.

Thank you....the link is very helpful.  The models that took the Itanium Processors were.....

PowerEdge 3250, PowerEdge 7150, and PowerEdge 7250

I am curious if the Itanium chip will run 32bit applications or if all apps have to be 64bit.  I think these servers shipped with Windows 2000 Advanced Server Limited Edition and Windows 2000 Datacenter Server Limited Edition for Itanium.

I have seen these systems on EBay from time to time.
