Poweredge R420 - Uncorrectable Memory Error + Power Control Unit Error

Hello everyone,

I'm just posting to ask if anyone has a good idea of what this following error would be on this poweredge R420 I'm trying to install Linux on:

CPLD version : 104

Alert! System fatal error during previous boot

Uncorrectable Memory Error

Power Control Unit Error.

Problem:

I'm trying to install Debian 7.5.0 to this machine and it's constantly rebooting itself and error'n out, going back to the POST and gives this error. Is this DIMM or H/W on the motherboard? It's doing this reboot by itself back to the POST like H/W is messed up.

Any and all assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello again,

Just to send an update: I looked up the LCD display and had this error on the front:

CPU0704 CPU2

It said to power cycle server. I removed all power from system for 5 min. Restarted and received a new error: CPU0000 CPU2 Internal Error [IERR] Contact Support.

I will now sort this further with tech support as this is a major h/w issue. Thanks and hope this helps someone else if they look this up online!
