PowerEdge SC 440 reinstall problems..
Can you please help me with the following?
I've bought an occasion PowerEdge SC440 without Ram memory and want to reinstall all. I've formatted the harddisks and placed 4 new dimm 5300 u. the message I receive when starting up:
System halted ! Floppy diskette seek failure. Memory type or speed is not supported on this system. Please refer to system documentation for supported memory configurations.
What to do now?
Is this bio only compatible for XP or can I also run Windows 7 or later on it ?(after solving the start-up problem)..
Please let me know!

The issue is a matter of unsupported memory. The dimms you are using are likely not supported in the SC440. If you can give me the specifics about the dimms, I could try to clarify this for you.
