Poweredge SC1430 cpu upgrade
Trying to find info about compatibility. We have a sc1430 with motherboard RH096 currently running two e5310 quadcores. I'd like to know if we can run e5472s on the board. They're one generation newer but same socket type and power draw. I found a dell post https://www.dell.com/community/PowerEdge-Hardware-General/SC1430-CPU-upgrade-not-working/td-p/2967337 stating that these e5310 aren't even compatible with the RH096...but they're installed and run fine. Any info would greatly be appreciated.

Hello,
I don't have this CPU in the list of supported processor for SC1430. That doesn't mean that it won't work but i cannot guarantee that it is supported.
