PowerEdge SC440 Keyboard issues

System: PowerEdge SC440

Bios Version: 1.4.1

Error;

Keyboard Failure

Floppy diskette seek failure

  Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run setup utility.

It always amuses me when they ask you to press buttons after a keyboard error :smileyvery-happy:

I had a USB keyboard pluged into this system but it stoped working for an unknown reasion. I tired a different USB keyboard but it was a wireless one and it didnt work. I then tried to use a PS/2 to USB converter block to connect a PS/2 keybord to the system but that din't work either.

There are no PS/2 ports on this system.

I know there is power going to the USB ports but I have no way of knowing if data is being transfered.

I know the new keyboards I tried work.

The old USB keyboard that was first pluged into the server is no longer working on any PC

I now have a normal USB keyboard but the problem is still not fixed. When I turn on the PC with the Keyboard connected the Num Lock, Caps and Scroll Lock lights all flah once at the same time. The PC then beeps twice and presents me with the above error.

Can someone please help me?

Would it work if I were to install a USB Pci card into the machine?
