Poweredge Server Upgrade from server 2008 to server 2012
I need to upgrade a poweredge T 110 and poweredge T320 from windows server 2008 r2 to server 2012. Both are out of warranty and I do not have installation disk. Both server are also domain controllers. I found out that the trial version of 2012 can be used with the product license on the servers. Is this a straight forward upgrade or what do I have to watch out for? How would I license the server 2012?

No, you cannot use your 2008R2 license with 2012. If you want to upgrade to 2012 then you will need to purchase 2012 to get a 2012 license.

Both servers was downgraded from 2012 to 2008 r2 when they were purchased, and reflected on dell system configuration on their websites.
