PowerEdge T110II CPU Upgrade
Hi,
This might sound stupid but is it possible to replace the current CPU of my PowerEdge T110 II server to a CPU with more cores?

Not stupid. "More" cores is relative though ... which processor model do you have now? The highest Dell states compatibility for is the E3-1280, which is 4 cores at 3.4GHz with Hyper-Threading (so 8 threads). There is also a E3-1290 at 3.6GHz, and while it is not on Dell's compatibility list for the T110 II, I don't know why it wouldn't work. If you already have a 4-core E3 processor, the upgrade is not likely to make a lot of sense for you unless you can get the upgrade for next to nothing.
