Hello Mika92,

Are you adding to existing memory or just using the four 8G DIMMs?

I'd recommend make sure the BIOS is current.  Drivers/firmware: https://dell.to/3gN7v9H

The populate the four DIMM - Slots 1&3, 2&4

Please let me know if this helps.

Hello Charles

Thank you for your answer.

I have install Windows Server 2016 on this server and currently the server has 4 memory sticks of 2 GB that I want to replace by those of 8 GB that I have just purchased. Should the 8 go memory sticks i bought work with a T310 ?

I will have a look for the bios driver version but if I need to update the bios driver, should I use IDRAC?

(I bought this used server, I don't have IDRAC on it, I don't know if I can install IDRAC or if I have to pay for a license?)

Hello Mika92,

While I don't see that memory validated for the T310 I do see one that is 1066MHz where yours is 1333MHz.

Your DIMM: DIMM,8GB,1333,2RX4,8,240,R,LV  (PN#P9RN2)

Validated DIMM: DIMM,8G,1066,2RX4,8,240,R,LV  (PN#CXPTG)

You would update drivers and firmware from within the OS using exe files you find on the support site linked above.

Windows 2016 is not supported on T310. We won't have 2016 drivers.

It will support up to Windows Server 2012 R2 : https://dell.to/3kwsnEt

For a DRAC you would have to purchase the DRAC Express and DRAC Enterprise add on card for full functionality.
