problem with idrac 6 certificate

Question

Hi Dear'si have a problem with  idrac as shown in photo i tried to solve it by racadm ssh but it didn't solve ! idrac open only in Internet Explorer but i can't control it beacuse all setting was failing the certificate is valid to 1-1-2023 but there are a mistake with it please help me to solve it for info   idrac6 in Dell PowerEdge R710   the main OS  is esxi 6.5

Hello orienttele,

When we see the iDRAC displaying "undefined" these steps can resolve. Try them in order and check results.

iDRAC undefined -

*use compatibility mode

*add to trusted sites in IE

*set java security medium

*add drac to site list in java

A 'modern' browser have  turn off, disable or have removed the ability use use old SSL standards or key length or algorithms. Your old IE supports these because you are able to log into the Webgui. To get the javascript working you have to place the URL into the trusted sites/intranet section within the security configuration of your IE. A Mozilla Firefox portable from years ago will also work.   Hint: If you would like to use the virtual console your one and only solution is the old IE and configuration setting 'native' within the console. Because this will get you the ActiveX version of the console plugin and not the java one. Or do you have an old java jre installed? Regards,Joerg

thanks for helping but  i have a small problem in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome i can't open iDRAC on it i tried the same ways that you tell me about it  but it didn't open it stay like this !

In the same 'news' you will read that a 12 Year old Dell 11Gen server isnt supportet any more and will not get any security related updates You can try to enable old TLS/SSL again if that option is available and see if you get it working.. but thats not the solution.

i can open it by old IE but a see some news about the old IE it will stop service soon, so that i need an alterntive browser which i can use it ... by the way i found i method helped me to open in MS edge

so i don't need Mozilla right now

This is similar to the story of Yahoo! The one who claimed it was going to get banned years ago haha

MS edge give me access for a month, provided that the validity is repeated when the period expires, it will be a simple solution, at least

i tried another ways ! but i didn't success so i choose MS edge at the end.
