R210 II, high CPU temp.?
I have a R210 II with Xeon 1230V2 processor.
I use Linux (Ubuntu LTS) and when loading the CPU i read core temps. above 90*C.
I use lmsensors with sensors command and it might be problem with the command not supporting my HW.
However, when loading the CPU I notice that the fans speed up first and then slowly goes back to, what it seems, same RPM as before loading the CPU and then stays there. I can now see temp. rising and stopping at about 91-92*C.
Server is located in ambient temp. around 21*C so should be fine. Sensor command seems to show proper temps. at idle load, so it looks at the readings are ok. I switched to 'maximum performance' in BIOS but did not make any noteable difference.
Any ideas?
