R310 with SBS 2011
Hi,
I have a new R310 server with 4 x 1TB HDU and H200A Raid controller card. I am having problems in partitioning the volumes
Insert the Dell DVD and enter Country Date time etc. I select SBS 2011 for OS and Dell installer placed temporary volume onto HDU. System reboots with Windows logo and asks me to insert Windows OS DVD. verifies disk and displays partitioning page.. I created the partitions (300GB system plus 1TB and 300GB secind and third partition).
The screen then appears to be setting up the partitioning and after about 10 minutes, the screen reverts to a greyish desktop, with no activity for 10 minutes. I then restarted the whole process and got to the partitioning screen again, and the whole volume is being shown as unallocated.
Anyone know what I am doing/ is going wrong?
Thanks
Alex

UPDATE
Have checked my raid controller and I found that the Raid controller had only initialized 6%. It seems that the server management DVD moves on to next stage whilst the initialization is not complete.
Am now running the initialization, but it is soooooooo.. SLOW. After one hour it has completed 4% , which means 25 hours to complete the whole cycle.
