R520 Cannot set Setup Password or restrict boot menu.

Question

I have a Poweredge R520.  I go into system setup and set a password, it asks me to confirm.  When I finish and it tries to save the settings I get an error message that reads something like 'An error has occured. Could not save some settings'  And the password does not get saved. Also, I have gone into UEFI boot menu and unchecked all options except for the OS HD.  However, when I hit F11 and go into the boot menu, it still shows all options.

I would start with updating the BIOS to current. What is the current revision it is at, I ask because if it is really far out of date then we will need to walk it up to current? The current version, 2.3.3, can be found here.

Thank you, I will check and get back to you.  These were purchased in Early Dec 2013.  So I would hope they at least have the 2.0 series
