R520: Front panel LCD is getting darker and darker
Hi!
In 2013 we bought PowerEdge R520 server and since a few month the front panel LCD display is getting darker and darker. Now it's very hard to read. But only the blue light is affected. The amber backlight is as bright as on the first day.
Is there a way to increase the brightness of the blue backlight?

Ikarisan,
It appears you may have an issue with the LCD or cable. The backlight brightness isn't adjustable, so what I recommend is to first reseat the LCD cable, if that doesn't resolve the issue I would look at replacing the LCD itself (part number RRRK8).
Let me know what you see from reseating the cable and connections.

Hi!
I reinserted the ribbon cable but that did not solve the problem. :(
We have a 5 year ProSupport and NBD On-site service contract for this server.
Whom shall I contact here in Germany to get the LCD replaced?
The TechDirect site is not working from within our network...
