R520 - SSD disk Blocked
Hello,
I've made a lot of search before I post this thread, and I wish I did this before I purchase these disks. I've purchased two SADISK SmartStor 1.8TB SSDs for my home lab server, R520, but even after upgrading the RAID controller's firmware (PERC H710 mini) to the latest firmware, the disks are still detected as "blocked". Is there any chance to make them work?

You might try flashing the BIOS and the iDRAC, as well, if they're behind. You could also look to see if the drive has a firmware update available, too. Is this a drive you got through Dell or a third-party?

Hi, I've got the drive from ebay, it's just a home lab server.. I will check the drive fw option. Thanks
