The GPU's I see available for the R720 is the Nvidia K2000, K20, M2070Q, M2075, and K40M. As well as the AMD Firepro S7000 and Firepro V7800P.

Hope this helps.

A bit of extra info on this, since the initial post I have been trying a few different OS's and have found CentOS works with a working GUI. However, as this is a personal user and learning machine I want to avoid the paid for server subscriptions or the need to keep reinstalling to refresh the "Trial" Period thats with the other OS's listed on the supported OS page. I also am learning and working with people who are familiar with Debain OS's which is great for local support along with several packages I need to learn for uni being Debian based. Is there a Debian based OS I can use which has a working GUI and wont give me these issues?

Leeroy13,

The issue appears to be based on the driver, but another issue is that Debian isn't officially supported on the R720, so we wouldn't be hosting the driver file. You may want to look for a 3rd party Matrox driver.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hi Chris,

I had to switch from GNOME to XFCE to get the display to render. During this I sourced a license for server 2016 which is now running as the main OS. I am wanting to render graphics for the VM's (up to 3 at a time) on the server, it will also be running 1/2 games on it along with file backup/sharing and Plex. The manual does not provide details specific to the 720 as the document it links to does not show compatibility for the R720. Can you advise a list of compatible GPu's for this server so I can proceed with its build/setup?

Cheers
