R720 Scrambled Display
I powered on my R720 after 2 months (it was also unplugged from the mains) only to find that the fans are spinning at full speed, front LCD panel does not work (is dead) and output via both front and back VGA is scrambled/corrupt from the BIOS screen onwards. It does not even get to the OS.
Scrambled display output:
Before all of this happened, the system had the latest firmware and bios updates as of September.
Troubleshooting steps:
-Reseat all raiser cards
-Reset BIOS via jumper
-Reset BIOS via taking the battery out
-Reconnected LCD panel board cables

Hi,
Try disconnecting all devices except the monitor. Try removing all pci-e cards and bring the memory to a single stick per processor. You can try the power supplies one at a time.

Hi Josh
I performed the actions you suggested but unfortunately no luck.

Is the server under warranty? It could be a bad system board or processor.

The server is no longer under warranty unfortunately.
I was hoping to try my luck here.

The symptoms sound like a system board issue, so that would be the first part I would try to replace.
