R910 netapp 2246 disk shelf connection

Hi 

Is there possibility to connects directly netapp ds 2246 disk shelf to a r910 server . If yes how ? There is instaled perc h700 controller . Should i add aditionel controller and then using sas cable connect it to a server ?
