RE: Poweredge T430 GPGPU Support

Hello.
Unlike higher end 13G servers such as the R730 which can have GPU enablement kit added at the Point of Sale (POS), the T430 does not generally offer GPU support. Listed below are the GPUs that have been tested to work on the T430 but not validated for full functionality:
This is updated information on T430 support for GPU.
As for operating temperatures, the GPU already produces substantial amounts of heat and at Expanded Operating Temperature Restrictions you will need low power CPUs without GPU in order to minimize heat dissipation
Hi can i install gtx1050ti on my poweredge t430?

Yes, the 1050 Ti works fine, in either PCIe x16 slot. But, the OEM fan will crank up to full speed. There is no way to override this, and it's loud enough to make your ears hurt. You can replace that loud fan with a third party PWM fan. Get something like the Cooler Master JetFlo 120 or a similar Noctua fan and they go into the iDRAC settings and manually adjust your fan off set - 100% for a Noctua or 50% for a JetFlo. You will want things to stay cool. I repaste my CPU to help with this and under a stress test, the CPU stays at 54C with a JetFlo fan.
One last thing - before tossing in a GPU, update your BIOS then disable the onboard GPU. If you don't disable the onboard video, you could have some issues.

Kudos to Kozad for the details on a cooling and fan noise solution. The only point I wanted to add is that by disabling the onboard video, the iDRAC Enterprise's virtual console will no longer work, it depends on the controller built into the iDRAC.
