Nothing extra is required ... just remove CPU 2, although it will not make any difference having it in there, unless your software has a licensing restriction on the number of CPU's/cores.
thanks ,, i was reading up on restoring backups on a different server and it says you need to have identical hardware components including the number of processors so as to make sure the restore will run properly on the new server. I'm gonna try it and see how it does. If it givesme problems i'll take the second processor out. Thanks again for the info.
