Replace Dell SDD

Question

Hi all   I have a Dell PowerEdge T350. I comes with a 480Gb Dell SSD.   I want to replace this drive with a 18Tb drive. Im running Unraid so no need for this SSD.   So is it possible? Regards Daniel and thanks

To order one of these part numbers please call into sales and as for the Spare Parts department.

Spar Part part numbers are parts we use in service repair and do not show up on the Dell website.

Hi Charles. Thansk for the reply! Meaby i was not precise   Trying to simplyfy it   Will my Dell T350 boot if i replace my Dell SSD in slot 0 with another HDD? Like a 18TB WD/Seagate? Thanks!

I know you want to sell some harddrives   But my questions is not so hard. Will the server be full functional with another drive in bay 0 instead of the Dell SSD?   Thanks!

Hi, I do not recommend using untested non-Dell hard drives, you may run into problems. I suggest you choose HDD with Dell part code as Charles mentioned above.

Hello DanielPT, Yes an 18TB drive can be used in slot 0. We cannot validate non-Dell drives so we recommend getting Dell branded drive with Dell firmware.
