Second Processor (e5320) for sc1430

Hi All,

I have Dell PowerEdge SC1430 with one xeon e5320 CPU (quad core).

I wish to add a second CPU.

I found out that there are several types of this CPU (see: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=28031).

According to CPU-Z application, my current CPU stepping is B, revision G0.

What kind of CPU should I add: SLAEL, SLAC8, SL9MV ? is it matter?

In the bios, I found out this string: 6FB

Any way, please help me find the correct CPU.

Thank you

Hello Tod, and thank you for the quick answer.

According to the link you sent me, the correct processor  is G0 (SLAEL ) and not B3 !!!

look at the table:

Core steppings  B1 (QQOE)
B3 (QURM, SL9MV, SLAC8)
G0 (QWVE, SLAEL)
CPUIDs 6F7 (SL9MV, SLAC8)
6FB (QWVE, SLAEL)

My CPU ID is 6FB and the stepping is G0, Am I correct?
