Server Dell PowerEdge R210 SSD
Good afternoon! My name is Vlad, and I had a question about updating HDD to SSD of the Dell brand server at work. We want to put two (RAID 1) samsung 850 pro Therefore, I have a couple of questions:
Is it advisable to put SSD it in this server?
- How do I do this without reinstalling the server? Maybe "cloning" disk ?
We have a RAID controller Dell PERC H200 Here are the characteristics of the server: Dell PowerEdge R210 Server Processor Intel Xeon Quad-Core X3430 (2.4 GHz) HDD SATA 7.2 2 by 500GB

If you have available slots, add the 2 SSDs, create a raid 1, then clone the original array to the new SSD array. If the size of the old and arrays are different, many cloning programs allow cloning to proceed resizing to use larger or smaller arrays.
If you try to clone the individual member of the original raid 1 to individual SSD drive of an SSD raid 1 it will fail.
