Simple R900 Memory Upgrade Question

Currently our R900 has 8GB (8 * 1GB sticks) and i want to add 4 * 2GB sticks.  Is it okay to mix the 1GB sticks with the 2 GB sticks?  And if so in what order.  i read the docs and you had to insure right order but they never talked about mixing sizes.  this is not a mirrored config.  just looking to get my server to 16GB.

I believe that adding 4 2gb DIMMs will work fine since the same numbered DIMM slots on risers A & B and C & D would be the same type. This is not a supported memory configuration from the factory, but I dont think it will give you any errors or warnings from the BIOS.
