split backplane?

Hi  -  Please could someone confirm for me if I want to have a mirrored system partition on 2 internal disks and RAID5 data partition on the 3 remaining internal disks, do I need to order the server with a split backplane or is this possible with a regular joint backplane config?  Thanks for your help.

Creating multiple containers on a single backplane is possible (AFAIK, did not set up exactly this configuration on a 2850) but split backplane is preferred for best performance. Best performance is why you combine RAID1 and RAID5, isn't it?
